The 2010 Wrangler Unlimited is a 4-door, 5-passenger sport-utility, available in 5 trims, ranging from the Sport 4X2 to the Rubicon. The 2010 model is more like a carryover from its predecessor, with very few changes.

2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4X2

The Sport 4X2 variant comes powered by a standard 3.8-liter V6 engine capable of delivering 205hp, mated with 6-speed manual transmission (with optional overdrive). However, a 4-speed auto transmission is also available, with overdrive facility.

2010 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

The Rubicon is very much similar to the Sport 4X2, and is offered with the standard 3.8-liter, V6 engine itself, though there are minor differences in the other features and interiors.

As far as fuel economy is concerned, the 2010 Jeep Wrangler achieves 15mpg on city roads and 20mpg on highways, which is pretty decent in its segment. When you consider the passenger carrying capacity, rear seating space and off-road capabilities, the 2010 Wrangler is a nearly perfect SUV, but the mediocre cargo space and fuel economy add to its cons.

As a whole, it isn’t one of the cheapest SUVs, and delivers reasonable performance (which is far from being the best in the segment again); nevertheless the 2010 Wrangler is one of the most spacious SUVs available in the market. And, with the power of 3.8-liter V6 engine, it can handle all those topsy-turvy track roads and steep hilly ranges without breaking a sweat!
